GAITHERSBURG, Md. (EGMN) - Peginterferon alfa-2b has a favorable risk-benefit ratio as an adjuvant treatment for stage III melanoma, a Food and Drug Administration advisory panel said at Oct. 5 meeting.The FDA's Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee voted 6 to 4 after reviewing of the data on the adjuvant use of peginterferon alfa-2b after complete lymphadenectomy, the indication up for approval.
