CHICAGO (EGMN) - Olanzapine, an atypical antipsychotic used in the treatment of schizophrenia and other psychiatric disorders, may also have a role in the management of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, a randomized phase III trial found.The 61 patients receiving highly emetogenic chemotherapy were about twice as likely not to experience any delayed nausea with an olanzapine (Zyprexa) regimen compared with a standard aprepitant (Emend) regimen (68% vs. 37%), investigators reported at the...
