SAN ANTONIO (EGMN) - Delays of up to 20 weeks in starting adjuvant radiotherapy following breast-conserving surgery have no deleterious impact upon cancer outcomes in women with early-stage breast cancer not receiving chemotherapy, a large retrospective study suggests.The analysis comprised 6,428 women referred to the British Columbia Cancer Agency during 1989-2003 with newly diagnosed early invasive breast cancer and 0-3 positive lymph nodes.
