SAN FRANCISCO (EGMN) - A neoadjuvant regimen of cetuximab and chemoradiation was associated with significant downstaging of locally advanced esophageal cancer, making 80% of patients candidates for surgery in a small phase II study.Cetuximab (Erbitux) also appeared to enhance survival in the study, which follows significant improvements in survival of head and neck cancers with the addition of the cetuximab to neoadjuvant regimens.
