SAN ANTONIO (EGMN) - The use of neoadjuvant bevacizumab to shrink breast cancers prior to surgery may be associated with increased risk of major surgical complications. A disturbing safety signal became apparent in the comparison of data from two single-arm, Boston-area, prospective trials of neoadjuvant therapy for triple-negative breast cancer, Dr. Mehra Golshan reported at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium.The problem involves women who undergo breast reconstruction with tissue expanders....
