In multiple myeloma (MM), renal impairment is a complication of the disease and is associated with poorer outcomes, more advanced disease, and higher rates of comorbidities and complications. The poorer response to treatment in patients with renal impairment may relate to the need to employ lower starting doses, dose reductions, or treatment interruptions.
