Approximately 5% of Hodgkin’s lymphomas are classified as nodular lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NLPHL). The Revised European-American Lymphoma (REAL) classification and the World Health Organization identify this lymphoma as a distinct subtype of Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Most of the patients who have this type of lymphoma are young men between the ages of 30 to 40 years, who present with localized, slowly progressive lymphadenopathy. Bulky, extranodal disease, or “B” symptoms, are not common....
