Median survival for men with castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) ranges from 12.2 to 21.7 months. Docetaxel is the only systemic therapy shown to improve survival in these patients, conferring an overall survival (OS) benefit of 2 to 3 months when compared with mitoxantrone and prednisone.
