Abstract

In this meta-analysis of nearly 7000 patients, sunitinib and sorafenib significantly increased the risk of bleeding. Clinicians should be aware of the possibility of increased bleeding, especially in patients at high risk. Adverse effects of VEGFR tyrosine-kinase inhibitors warrant careful surveillance and reporting. The overall incidence of all-grade bleeding events was 16.7%.
