Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is an uncommon type of tumor of the soft tissues comprising approximately 1% of all sarcomas. The growth of DFSP is usually indolent, with a <5% probability of metastasis. The most common site of metastasis, when it occurs, is the lung; metastases infrequently involve the lymph nodes.
