Evidence clearly shows a chemopreventive effect for aspirin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) on colorectal cancer and probably other cancer types; however, data on the risk–benefit profile for cancer prevention are insufficient and no definitive recommendations can be made.
