Women are 3 times more likely than men to develop carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). Because CTS appears to be associated with menopause, hormones may be involved in its etiology in women. Aromatase inhibitors, including anastrozole, exemestane, and letrozole, have been linked to joint symptoms and also to CTS.
