We appreciate the valuable comments from Dr Mohnish Grover. We refer to case 1 in Table 1, where facial nerve function was House-Brakeman grade 1. This particular patient presented with conductive deafness and more interestingly with loss of the stapedial reflex at 250 Hz. The diagnosis of otosclerosis was made based on clinical findings.
