To the Editor:The Department of Elder Affairs is responsible for administering human service programs for the elderly population in an effort to try to help them keep their self-sufficiency and self-determination in all possible ways. These services include case management, home-delivered meals, adult day care, caregiver support and training, medical equipment and supplies, respite care, assisted living, and many others.
