ABSTRACT
BackgroundCarcinoid tumors are rare, slow-growing neuroendocrine tumors that most frequently arise from the gastrointestinal tract or the lungs. Common sites of carcinoid metastases include lymph nodes, liver, lungs, and bone, with rare metastasis to the spine.
