Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Jeffrey J. Kirshner is a partner of Hematology Oncology Associates of Central New York (HOACNY) in East Syracuse. He is the Director of Research and serves as the Principal Investigator of the HOACNY Community Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP). He also is the Chief of Oncology at Community General Hospital in Syracuse.
Dr. Kirshner has a strong interest in patient care and clinical research, particularly in cancer control. He currently serves as Chair of the Cancer and Leukemia Group B (CALGB) COOP Committee and is a member of the CALGB Quality of Life and Membership Committees as well as a member of the Board of Directors. Dr. Kirshner also is active in the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP) and the University of Rochester Cancer Center (URCC) CCOP Research Base, for which he is currently chairing a cancer control protocol. He has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals.
