An analysis of data from nearly 500,000 colorectal cancer patients conducted by researchers at the American Cancer Society (ACS) has found that patients who are uninsured or who are covered by Medicaid are more likely to be diagnosed at a more advanced stage than patients who have private insurance or are covered by Medicare.
