The UICC World Cancer Congress

The UICC World Cancer Congress brings together the world's leaders in the fight to control cancer. Leading clinicians, practitioners, government agencies and NGOs, patient-care providers and advocates, researchers and behavioural scientists and public health experts focus on transforming the latest knowledge into strategies that countries, communities, institutions and individuals can employ to reduce the cancer burden.Attending the World Cancer Congress offers the media a unique opportunity to interact with national and international cancer professionals and learn about evidence-based strategies for cancer prevention and control and the latest scientific findings. The Congress will address hot topics, such as cervical cancer vaccination and tobacco control, and deal with the political and economic aspects of the disease and how these are handled in resource-rich and resource-constrained countries.
